O efeito de mudanças na estrutura etária sobre o envelhecimento populacional e sua conseqüência no Brasil

Abstract

This article aims to study the changes in the age structure and its effects on population aging and its relationship with social security problems. To this end, it is a quantitative study of descriptive nature, which used selected census years and the choice of a state to represent its macro-region in order to calculate demographic parameters and build age structures. It was observed that the country is going through a rapid process of demographic aging with serious consequences in the social sphere, including social security, which will need new reforms to maintain the current regime in view of the decrease in the working-age population (EAP) that can sustain the current system.
