Resumo
The present work is the result of a bibliographic research with the theme Education and ethical formation
in the teaching-learning process, whose general objective is to reflect on the absence of moral and ethical
values in the educational context, which distorts the ethical formation based on moral values in the
educational environment. Thus, the work was motivated due to the ethical problem in the classroom. We
emphasize that ethics and morals are fundamental aspects for the constitution of human beings, and ethics
corresponds to a branch of knowledge that studies human conduct in society, since each society has its
own codes of ethics. Morality, on the other hand, highlights the rules and precepts constituted and
accepted by a determined society in which they guide the way of operating and thinking of the human
being in the social sphere. Equally, ethics and morals are linked, since morals are the target of ethics
analysis. The strictly bibliographic research served as a theoretical contribution to unveil the conceptions
about the theme in the light of Cortella (2010), Lakatos (2013), Mattos (2009), Marques (2001), Petri
(2012), Sanchez Vazquez (2018), while the qualitative methodology was based on Severino (2014). Thus,
we emphasize that during the bibliographic investigation it was essential to distinguish the terms ethics
and morals, highlighting the importance of these aspects for interpersonal relationships, also aiming at
good coexistence in the social sphere, as they are of paramount importance for the construction of a more
just society, moderate and aware of his actions.
