Resumo

This study proposes the use of the METEOBLUE digital platform as an investigative pedagogical tool for teaching climate change in Geography education. The rationale is based on the urgency of understanding this phenomenon, especially in the Amazon, a highly vulnerable region, and the need for methodologies that overcome abstraction, allowing students to analyze real and localized data. The objective is to present the METEOBLUE platform as a resource to promote a critical understanding of climate change. To this end, three specific objectives are outlined: (1) to operationalize the tool, extracting historical series of variables such as temperature and precipitation for Parintins; (2) to analyze patterns and trends of climate change (e.g., temperature increases) from these data, constructing graphs and thematic maps; and (3) to relate meteorological data to the unequal territorial impacts of climate change in the region. This qualitative-quantitative research uses the METEOBLUE model to analyze the average temperature in Parintins between 2000 and 2024, focusing on years with extreme events (such as 2005, 2010, and 2016). It concludes that the platform proves to be an effective tool for transforming global climate data into tangible local evidence, empowering students to scientifically interpret reality and to reflect on mitigation and adaptation actions.
