Resumo
This article is the result of a research in Oral History, which seeks to carry out a History of Women who worked in jute in the municipality of Urucará-Am. we will analyze these women as subjects of history, highlighting their memories from the realization of thematic interviews around the work in jute, the sexual division of labor and its commercial system. As well as their perceptions and ruptures in the fiber toil experience. From the Gender Category, we analyze the role of women in the jute culture, as well as the existing inequalities between the sexes in this agricultural practice, considering these women within the historical context in which they are inserted.
