O modelo IS-LM e sua aplicabilidade para o caso brasileiro de 2006 a 2016

Abstract

This work aimed to evaluate the economic policies used by brazilian government between the years of 2006-2016, based of the assumptions of IS-LM macroeconomic model. To do so, it was necessary to estimate the IS and LM curves through the econometric models of the Ordinary Least Squares Method and the Two- Stage Least Squares Method. It was concluded that the most eficiente macroeconomic policy in changing the income level in the period was the monetary policy, and that the brazilian economic crisis of 2015-2016 can be explained by the model.
