Resumo
This work consists of showing the importance of indigenous children's literature and how it can contribute to the deconstruction of mistaken prejudices about original peoples. Using literary workshops carried out in a municipal public school in Parintins as a research technique. The Workshops applied to works of indigenous children's literature, with the main authors being Daniel Munduruku, Yaguarê Yamã, Roni Wasiriy Guará and Tiago Hakiy. In addition to applying a questionnaire to the classes in which the workshops were held, two basic education classes (6th and 7th year) and another for the 2 Portuguese language teachers at the school. Therefore, this work is focused on how literature significantly contributes to the deconstruction of a mistaken view in relation to original peoples, a view that is rooted in society. Despite the main focus being deconstruction, the workshops contributed to reading, writing and speaking, the latter being a mark on indigenous origins.
