Resumo

To analyze the academic and professional training of teachers who work in the undergraduate nursing course at a public university in Amazonas.Method: Descriptive and exploratory research with a quantitative approach. The professional and academic profile of the teachers was described, with the source of information being the CV database of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development – CNPq – Lattes Platform, based on data provided in the Lattes CV of the teachers participating in the sample (n=68 ). Results: There was a predominance of female professionals, which corresponded to more than half of the entire sample. The time since training in the profession varied considerably, ranging from 11 to 47 years, with an average of 22 years. Among the categories, the Public Health area presented 01 specialist, 06 masters and 10 doctors, being the second lowest choice for teachers. Furthermore, professional performance in the area of Primary Health Care corresponded to 24.2% of the total. Final considerations: Therefore, in the present study, the academic and professional analysis of university professors had the female sex as a characteristic profile, the predominance of doctorate degree, and academic and professional performance in the medium and high complexity hospital area in his Lattes curriculum, where the reasons for such choices were listed in this study
