Resumo

This paper introduces post-autonomous literature, a term coined by the argentine writer and critic Josefina Ludmer. At its core, this concept represents a break from past literary paradigms, positioning literary works beyond traditional classification within literary studies through "realityfiction." This is precisely where the object of study lies: the boundary between fiction and reality. This boundary is integral to this post-autonomous environment and to literary productions of the 2000s, where reality and fiction intertwine, making it difficult to discern "who is who" in contemporary literary works. Therefore, this study was developed with the aim of investigating the existence of this boundary in contemporary Brazilian works, to contribute to the understanding of post-autonomous literature and to literary studies. To achieve this, the research utilized authors such as Josefina Ludmer (2013), Antonie Compagnon (1999), Mikhail Bakhtin (1987), Umberto Eco (1991), Michel Foucault (2008), Beatriz Resende (2008), Octávio Paz (1982), among others. This is a bibliographic study, employing a method with a focus on Karl Popper's hypothetical-deductive approach. The results revealed the existence of the boundary between fiction and reality in contemporary Brazilian works, in addition to highlighting issues that emphasize the presence of post-autonomous literature.
