Resumo
This research addressed the importance of the use of ICTs in rural education, seeking to understand the way in which educators and students used technologies in the midst of the pandemic that ravaged the world, causing disruptions in various sectors of societies, including education. To this end, the research had the general objective of analyzing whether students were able to acquire some knowledge through Remote Teaching, a methodology created to circumvent covid 19 so that students do not miss the school year. The methodology used to produce this work is of a bibliographic nature, seeking possible answers to the investigated phenomenon, resorting to intensive scientific procedures, seeking to interpret the facts inserted in the teacher's actions through qualitative research, of an exploratory nature. The results demonstrate that ICTs are fundamental in the current teaching and learning process, given that students are in constant contact with technologies inside and outside the school, therefore, they help in a better contextualization of classes, in the relationship between theory and practice. The use of ICTs by teachers, as a resource in the education process, must serve as a pedagogical innovation, but for this to occur, it is essential that the teacher has knowledge about the possibilities of the technological resource, to use it as a learning instrument.
