Resumo
This research entitled: "The contribution of Popular Education in the formation of the educator", aims to understand the principles of Popular Education in the process of educating the educator, seeking to raise the theoretical framework of this movement, identifying the principles of popular education to analyze the contribution of them in the formation and pedagogical practice of teachers. In order to achieve the proposed objectives, we opted for the dialectical perspective, as it seeks to understand and interpret reality in its process of constant transformation, and because it is a study that values human and social relationships, we chose the qualitative approach. As data collection instruments, we used the semi-structured interview, as the primary objective was to create a space for dialogue, in addition to the records of the field notebook used in the activities in one of the Supervised Internships. The research subjects are the teacher who was accompanied during the internship and the school pedagogue. The theoretical foundation of the study was mainly based on studies by authors such as Freire, Pimenta, Scocuglia, Costa, among others. As a result, we highlight the theoretical contribution of Popular Education, its principles and contributions to the training of teachers and the construction of a liberating practice, capable of contributing to the formation of conscious students who fight for the critical transformation of society.
