Resumo
This monograph aims to make a brief reflection about the representation of black women in Brazilian literature, in which we selected the authors Maria Firmina do Reis, Carolina Maria de Jesus and Conceição Evaristo, to analyze the contributions and representativeness of these authors in the Brazilian literary scene. To substantiate this research we took into consideration the reflections raised by the following authors: Angela Davis (2018), Mary Del Priore (2004), Schuma Schumaher (2006), Bell Hooks (2014). To gain an understanding of black women in Brazilian literature, we present a section on black feminist struggles in Brazil, as well as a section on the Black Movement in the Brazilian historical context. A study was carried out on the importance of black women in Brazilian literature as writers, highlighting the triad: Maria Firmina dos Reis, Carolina Maria de Jesus and Conceição Evaristo, a source of analysis on the writing (experiences) and its representativeness for Brazilian literature.
