Resumo
The teaching of sciences is of fundamental importance for the formation of critical citizens,
with the ability to interpret the world around them, and the school has an important role in
the construction of this knowledge. Therefore, the objective of this research is to understand
the development of competencies and skills related to the curricular component Natural
Sciences, through Innovative Pedagogical Practices mediated by technologies. This is
qualitative research characterized as a Field Study that was developed with students of the
6th year of Elementary School in a public school in the city of Manaus - AM. The
methodology of this project was flexible, considering the pandemic context at the time,
therefore, the activities were carried out in person and virtual in three phases: Diagnostic
phase; Preparation and application phase; and Evaluation phase. In the first phase,
bibliographic research was carried out about the teaching of sciences and the main
Innovative Pedagogical Practices mediated by technologies. Afterwards, the essential
characteristics of the subjects for the development of the study were defined through a semi structured questionnaire. In the second phase, it was the elaboration and application of four
lesson plans corresponding to four Innovative Pedagogical Practices mediated by
technologies: Class enriched with technology; Flipped classroom; Personalized teaching
and; Rotation by seasons. The final phase corresponded to the analysis of the results
obtained that were submitted to Bardin's content analysis. In addition, each student
answered a final questionnaire about the activities developed. Thus, it was possible to
conclude the effectiveness of the project, because all students were able to perform the
activities even if they had not yet witnessed classes with the methods used and obtained an
average of 8.5 grades in the evaluations, which shows that the students were able to learn
from the practices. Each of the methodologies made the classes more dynamic and making
the student more active and collaborator in the construction of knowledge. The use of
technologies, in addition to enriching and increasing the possibilities of teaching,
contributes to the inclusion of students in modern society where the use of technologies is
present.
