Governança ambiental nos territórios rurais no município de Parintins: um estudo das agrovilas de Caburi e Mocambo

Abstract

This work has as main objective to analyze the Environmental Governance in the rural territories of Mocambo and Caburi, in the Municipality of Parintins, in the State of Amazonas, as well as the main implications in the way of life of the local population. We observed that socio-spatial changes took place in these rural locations, caused by the new spatial format engendered by the sociocultural changes that took place. The method used for data analysis is a dialectical approach and the technique used for data collection were interviews, application of forms, document research, containing secondary data and a bibliographic and analytical review of the works dealing with the subject. Thus, surveys were carried out on the main socio-environmental problems in these rural locations, highlighting the problem of the lack of a suitable place for dumping solid waste, causing people to end up burning in their homes, dumping in lakes, throwing in vitiated dumps, vacant land and on public roads, which puts the health of the residents at risk. Security, public lighting and administrative assistance were also other major problems reported by community members, as they feel forgotten by the government. Therefore, this research presents the main environmental issues in the rural areas of Mocambo and Caburi, it is up to the municipal and state authorities to intervene in sustainable improvements for the rural territories surveyed and to offer a better quality of life for the residents.
