Resumo
Brazil presentes itself as the holder of the largest biological diversity on the
planet. In order to take actions to protect a huge biodiversity in the country,
strategies are adopted in model forms in the conservation area through
conservation units. For the conservation of biodiversity, controlling and regulatory
measures are also used. Conservation units, especially those with full protection,
are essential components for biodiversity conservation and play an important role
for the welfare of society. Therefore, this paper aims to evaluate the perception
of residents of Sumaúma State Park regarding environmental issues. In this
study, the inductive and hypothetical deductive methods will be used. As for the
elaboration of questionnaires, we used structured questions (systematic types)
and unstructured questions (called freedom, unsystematic or anthropological).
The interviewee was asked to characterize or degree of relevance in relation to
the Sumaúma State Park, which does not concern the surrounding community.
The application of the questionnaires was random, since we were at home, two
individuals per family, regardless of gender, and may be male or female, since
ten years ago. The interviews start with questions focused on the socio-cultural
profile of the residents, thus, questions related to the environmental perception
and a Conservation Unit, to understand the relationship of these inhabitants with
the park and management, highlighting the benefits and harms for who is the next
home. preserved. For data analysis, data transcripts and integral interviews were
recorded and categorization of information collected. It is hoped that as this
project project can support managers, decision makers and authorized users to
re-evaluate their relationships with the surrounding natural resources, given that
they are expected to have a greater relationship with them prior to the
implementation of the Unit. Conservation as after its effective. The results of this
study concluded that the environmental perception of Parque Sumaúma
residents is, in some respects, very limited and fragmented in relation to the
importance of the Park to the population and to the knowledge of the activities
offered by the Park, which need great attention from the power. public for better
environmental and social management of the site.
