Abstract

This study focuses on the semiotic analysis of the generative path of meaning in the works "Nel Mezzo Del Camin..." and "Inania Verba" by Olavo Bilac. The introduction outlines the research scope, followed by a justification for the chosen topic and specific and general objectives of the study. The methodology employed is based on an inductive approach and embraces qualitative analysis, with a focus on semiotic analysis. The theoretical framework encompasses contributions from Santaella, Geraldi, Barros, and Fiorin, providing the foundations for understanding semiotics and the generative path of meaning. The study also contextualizes the significance of Olavo Bilac as a poet. The analysis of the works includes exploring the levels of euphoria and dysphoria, as well as the conjunctions and disjunctions present in the texts. The levels of discursive transformations are also examined, covering manipulation, competence, performance, and sanction. The conclusion section reflects on the obtained results and the relevance of the conclusions. In summary, this semiotic study provides an in-depth analysis of the generative path of meaning in Olavo Bilac's works, contributing to a richer and more detailed appreciation of these literary pieces
