Unidade Presional de Parintins: um estudo sobre as relações de poder dentro do ambiente carcerário

Abstract

Conduct a study that adresses the territorial relations that develop in the prison environment requires the understanding that the processes that take place in the geographical space need to be analyzed from several factors which corroborate the union of the information that is spread for your organization within the space. The presente study seeks based on the problem of illicit drug trafficking in the municipality of Parintins/AM the territorial relations produced and reproduced within the environment of the Parintins Prison Unit (UPPIN) thus analyzing the Power that such problem exercises from its dynamics about space transforming it. The objective of the presente is to carry out a study in which it evidences the territorial relations that are established in the geographical space seeking na approximation of the theory of the concepts that are permeated in the illicit drug traffic as well as understanding the spatial dynamics of such practice in the varied relationships of groups or social classes. For the research we followed two stages as methodological procedures the first stage envisages the bibliographic review of authors who deal with the subject of social relations that develop in space which materialize in territory and the second stage marks the work in lócu to understand in a deeper way the dynamics of the study área and thus with this theory this reality. Therefore the work carried out has been proposing to collaborate in studies with respect to the territory but linked to what concerns public security to which the researched elemento is placed in the urban contexto and this investigation is constituted in geographic science. In this sense conducting a study that concerns drug trafficking and the territorial relations that it produces and reproduces in a prison environment goes through several challenges one of which is the methodological issue not defined in Geography and perhaps the most challenging is that the sale and consumption of drugs within the Prison Unit is na activity that transforms social relations within and outside this environment. Howerver the Parintins Prison Unit seeks to fulfill duties towards society by offering to prisoners projects aimed at rehabilitating them in the social framework seeking to make detainees aware of their society.
