A prova Brasil no Amazonas: analisando os descritores críticos de matemática no 7º ano do ensino fundamental II

Abstract

External assessments are a reality in the Brazilian educational landscape. Every two years, students participate in the Prova Brasil, whose results are interpreted and analyzed by the education departments. In this context, it is necessary to study how the state secretariat obtains data regarding critical descriptors in the state of Amazonas and how these data together with the results from the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC) are worked on in the local context. This work aims to analyze the critical descriptors of the 7th year of elementary school II concerning the 2019 Prova Brasil. The analysis of the descriptors revealed that the methodology of the content taught is closely linked to the low performance of the same. Many of these contents are linked to the rules memorization.
