Resumo

F ootball is a great passion for people, one of the most practiced sports in the world. It is characterized by the player's need for decision making as it is a situational game that changes the tempo with each action. Each scenario in which it manifests itself has different meanings and understanding how it can be developed in each one is essential for a better experie nce for the characters involved. One of these scenarios is that of football schools and knowing the peculiarities, characters involved and meanings attributed by them from a practical experience can contribute to reflection and the conduct of other experie nces. General objective: to report an experience on the process of teaching football to children aged 5 to 7 at a small school in Manaus. Contextualization: the setting is from the institution Inter Academy Soccer, the characters are the present author, tr ainees, players aged 5 to 7 and their parents. Development: the work is developed with children aged 5 to 7 years old following a structure of the plurality of the sporting phenomenon and a structuring of the teaching learning training process. The identif ied meanings follow these structures. Final considerations: the experience offered great learning in didactic terms and the construction of this report generated greater knowledge from the literature review, in addition to a reflection on the experience it self. The teaching work offered, even though it differs from the literature in some cases, has proven to be positive, as it is possible to notice improvements in the children
