Resumo

This study sought to investigate the teaching developed in a workshop offered to the students of Civil Engineering and Architecture and Urbanism at the University of Vale do Taquari – Univates through the use of Digital Information and Communication Technologies – DICT. The workshop lasted three hours and was attended by 25 students. Altogether, five activities that addressed the themes of bending moment in two-dimensional effort diagrams were developed through a digital simulator, in addition to a previous questionnaire and a post-workshop questionnaire. When examining the activity data, it was found that some participants were not familiar with the concepts addressed, although they gradually improved their conjectures during the workshop. It was noted that the participants with greater academic experience wrote more complete answers, while there was no visible evidence that professional experience in the use of the software contributed to a greater number of correct responses. Furthermore, when comparing the pre- and post-workshop questionnaires, it is emphasized that there were signs of increased knowledge on the part of the participants, in addition to motivational traces.
