Resumo
The contemporaneity presents itself as the responsible for unprecedented
unprecedented transformations that have affected the structures on which identities were based. In
chosen for analysis, identities are exposed from the inconsistent perspective of the historical
of the historical present, the characters constitute a social clipping that propitiates the self-reflexivity of the subject/reader. Based on these problems, this article aims to deepen the
concept of identity in post-modernity in order to understand the process of fragmentation of
fragmentation of postmodern identity in Blindness, by José Saramago.
In addition, the study aims to identify and reflect on this deconstruction established in
established in the work of the author, from the assertion that blindness is constructed
as an allegory. This work is bibliographical in nature, with a qualitative approach,
supported by social perspectives of Stuart Hall and Zygmunt Bauman.
