Resumo
This academic work describes the teaching experiences lived in the daily life of a riverside school, named Escola Municipal “Gláucio Bentes Gonçalves” located in the community of São José do Paraná do Espírito Santo de Cima, a floodplain area of the Municipality of Parintins/Amazonas. The purpose of the work is to report the challenging daily confrontations of a floodplain school, in which the natural phenomenon of rising water ends up generating great impacts, since school days are affected by floods and influence the students' permanence in the classroom. classroom. In addition, there is a shortage of didactic and pedagogical support material, teacher turnover and the daily routine of students and their families. But it is worth considering that this reality of the várzea school, despite being different, is very rich in learning and teachings that are unique and peculiar to this locality, which are enriched by the culture, by the way of life of these families.
