Resumo
The push boats in the Amazon Region play an important role in the movement
of river convoys through the main waterways of the Arco Norte, transporting various
inputs and being responsible for propelling groups of rafts. The present work aims to
verify the shaft line alignment of a river pusher using the finite element method (FEM),
with the creation of a code through Matlab software. A general study of the propulsion
system of vessels and its components was performed to show the elements that influence
the concentrated and distributed shaft loads. As FEM allows the discretization of the
domain, local analyses were performed in order to later apply the data in the global order,
mechanical relations were used for modeling hyperstatic beams. The methodology was
explained and followed according to the parameters established in the objectives and the
results were obtained as bearing reactions, bending moment and shear force diagrams,
influence matrix and elastic axis line of the system, this being a determining factor for
the alignment condition of the system, it was also concluded that the propeller shaft of
the push boat is in a favorable alignment condition.
