Resumo

Much of the Amazon biome is found in the state of Amazonas. However, in the Middle Solimões, detailed knowledge of forest structures is hampered by the extension of the territory. In this area, Lecythidaceae is configured as being one of the most important families, with abundant representatives in the region. Currently, digital herbal platforms are helping to carry out botanical works. Thus, this study aimed to understand the distribution pattern of botanical collections and the sampled wealth of the Lecythidaceae family in the Middle Solimões, using data from the digital platform Splink. From this, a spreadsheet containing all the samples of Lecythidaceae registered for Amazonas was accessed. The data were treated and analyzed in the regional scope of the Middle Solimões (covering the municipalities of Alvarães, Coari, Codajás, Juruá, Maraã, Tefé and Uarini), seeking to: 1. verify the distribution of Lecythidaceae sampling in the region; 2. characterize the floristic composition of the Médio Solimões family; 3. analyze the occurrence (abundance and wealth) of the genera and species of the botanical family in the different municipalities in the study area; as well as, 4. check the status of endemism of the species found in the region. In addition, through rarefaction curves, sample sufficiency and the potential for wealth for the region were discussed. 9109 collections were found at the state level, however, for the Middle Solimões 229 collections were recorded, with only 2.5% of all samples for the state. In the sampling of the study area, 6 genera and 28 species were found. In addition, none of the species was endemic to the region. Eschweilera was the most sampled genus, as well as the one with the highest wealth (15 spp.), Corroborating with data from the bibliography. Eschweilera albiflora was the species with the highest number of collections, diverging from the more general pattern found for the dominance of Lecythidaceae species in the Amazon documented in studies. The municipality of Tefé was the most sampled, adding almost half of the collections recorded for the region alone, while only one sample was registered in Juruá, showing a change in the sampling effort between different regions, and accentuating the existence of areas little known botanically. Of the samples, 91 were georeferenced at the exact collection site and were not randomly distributed in the Middle Solimões region, but formed aggregates close to the municipalities of Maraã, Tefé, in the RDS Mamirauá region and in the petrochemical complex of Urucu.
