Resumo
Considering the importance that Science Teaching has in contributing to the process of
scientific literacy of students, this work presents an analysis of thematic workshops
for teaching Chemistry as a methodological proposal that seeks to work on content in
classroom in a contextualized way, addressing everyday terms that may be aspects
social, environmental, political, among others, helping the student to be involved
actively in the process of building their own knowledge. In this context, the workshop
theme has proven to be a very relevant proposal, as it makes it possible to work with
activities that provide the students involved with moments of reflection, exposure of ideas
and proposals for solutions to a given problem, helping the student to be able to
make decisions, think critically and participate responsibly and democratically in society
that is inserted.
