(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2024-02-22) Freitas, Rutiana Correa de; Ramos, Érika da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1558397571711558; Mourão, Vilma Maria Gomes Peixoto; Melo, Cíntia Matos de
The formative process of university students in Art courses essentially requires the exposure of artistic works/products/processes in presentations. This translates into expressiveness. However, artists in the context of Dance experience expressiveness in various ways, some more comfortable with exposure/expressiveness and others more introspective. Dance is a compilation of expressive, aesthetic, political, liturgical, educational, somatic, and related practices, so qualitative investigation was sought to explore the main accounts of academics who self-identify as introspective in their formative process in Dance at the State University of Amazonas, regarding the curriculum components that require more expositional/expressive skills. The specific objectives of this research are: to investigate the structure of the Dance teaching formation at UEA and the theoretical and practical curriculum components directly related to expressive evaluations in Dance; to discuss the relationship between Dance and expressiveness in pedagogical practice, and; to investigate what introspection is and how this characteristic interferes with dance labor activities. The focus of the research is basic in nature, and the methodology used was qualitative, exploratory research, based on fieldwork, using group interviews conducted in person and others conducted digitally through a form with Dance course students as the data collection instrument. The main results indicate that despite the Dance course being conducive to expressiveness, there is not a full manifestation of expression, as many students face challenges with curriculum components. Through this research, an attempt was made to understand the antagonism between expressiveness and introspection, through the experiences of students.

A The analysis of the trajectory of Art teaching in Brazilian education indicates that among the four languages that make up this curricular component, Dance, as an area of knowledge, is the one that finds the least space in the school context. Its practice is often limited to versatility, Physical Education classes, commemorative dates in our annual calendar and also specific events at educational institutions. Thus, this research aimed to understand Dance and its specificities, as an area of knowledge and constituent of Art as a curricular component, through the commemorative dates of the school calendar, and its importance for the child's personal and educational development. In other words, this research, which is basic, exploratory, descriptive and has a qualitative character, sought to analyze how three teachers trained in Dance and with experience in the area receive and work with the demands made by schools for the initial school years, given the importance of teaching Dance in these age groups for the child’s integral development. Data collection took place through semi- structured interviews and the analysis was guided by Bardin's content analysis. It was possible to observe, from the data collected, that each school has its own modus operandi regarding the calendar. Each institution can, yes, define the dates that will be worked on, as well as adhere to and strictly follow the SEDUC and SEMED calendar (in the case of public schools), but can also leave the dates they want to the teachers' discretion. to work. At the same time, they need to reconcile planning, dialogue with the school and other teachers, and also find space to develop dance activities, without restricting them to mere illustrative dances, reconciling the teaching of this artistic language as an area of knowledge and the demands of the school that almost always deviate from this perspective.

The present study presents a literature review on the influence of dance on the psychomotor development of school-age children and adolescents. Dance studies were selected that used Fonseca's Psychomotor Battery (BPM) to evaluate the psychomotor development of children before and after dance intervention at school. The search was carried out in the Google Scholar databases, the repository of theses and dissertations of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), the institutional repository of the State University of Amazonas, Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo) and the Federal University of Pernambuco. The keywords used included dance themes, psychomotricity, and motor assessment. The study selection process involved first reading titles and abstracts, followed by full reading to extract information regarding the intervention of dance practice and student information and psychomotor profile. Interventions involving dance practice, involving children and/or adolescents, classified according to their psychomotor profile, were adopted as inclusion criteria. Those studies that did not use Fonseca's BPM and whose age was not compatible with the objective of the study were excluded. 11 potential studies were identified for full evaluation, of which only 4 studies were considered eligible. In general, interventions ranged from 2 to 3 months, with different types of dances such as Ballet, Urban Dances, and Dance with circus fabric. The activities had 7 to 12 classes, with students aged 4 to 17. Although different results were observed, most studies showed that dancing provided a new, superior psychomotor classification after the intervention compared to the pre-intervention profile. Thus, dancing in the school environment seems to contribute to the psychomotor development of children and adolescents.
