Resumo
In view of the guidelines recommended in the documents that govern Brazilian
Education for Elementary Education (PCN and BNCC) and, in particular, Amazonian
Education (Curricular Reference 1) regarding the incorporation of social issues in the
teaching-learning process of the subjects that make up the Curriculum At school,
Transversality is seen as a possibility to make such incorporation a reality. In this
sense, the objective of this research was to “develop a transversal practice addressing
the social issue “Food for health” in the teaching process of Mass Measures in the 7th year of Elementary School, considering the skill recommended in the BNCC for this
content”. In its methodological path, qualitative research was used, approaching
bibliographic research as a modality, as a data collection technique, documentation
was used, finally, for data analysis, the technique of analysis was applied. of content.
The results obtained indicate: 1. Significant contributions from transversality in the
teaching process, such as: reflective thinking, breaking away from formal education
and promoting training for citizenship; 2. Need for more enlightening guidelines for the
implementation of transversal teaching practices in Mathematics classes. It is
concluded that even lacking strong materials that help Mathematics teachers in the
consolidation of a transversal work, it is possible to plan it based on the knowledge of
research carried out on the subject and the guidelines of the documents that govern
Brazilian/Amazonian Education.
