Abstract

This article is the result of a scientific initiation project developed in the year 2006/17. We look at the evangelical prison church that was founded in 2001 at the local prison by a former inmate. That church whose temple is a improvised space between the walls and the galleries aims to offer spiritual assistance to those incarcerated supported by a spiritual sociability together with to support families. Furthermore, in recent years evangelical Pentecostal churches have been taking turns in the prison institution with the intention of propagating the message to inmates the meetings usually take place on weekends and are accompanied by social actions. The analyzes offer a general approach to the Pentecostal performance in the prison unit that were previously a monopoly of Catholic pastoral incarcerated.
