Prisão e monitoramento eletrônico: possibilidades e limites no sistema prisional amazonense

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to verify the effectiveness of electronic monitoring in Manaus-AM, from 2014 to March 2016, more specifically in relation to prisoners sentenced in semi-open regime and subsequently had the right to house arrest. Starting an a transdisciplinary approach using concepts of legal sociology and its implications in the criminal justice system. Also analyzed is the prison sentence and its historical development, portraying the conditions of the Brazilian Amazon and the prison system. Through statistical calculation, will be to check some indicators on the effectiveness of prisoners of monitoring and the ability to expand their legal limits.
