Resumo
Check if during the consultation of the uterine cervix cancer exam, carried out in the
APS, one can also cover the detection of IPV against women as well as which factors
can contribute to better assistance, by professionals qualified to collect the
colpocytopathological examination, to women victims of IPV. Method: Quantitative study,
descriptive, exploratory and transversal. The present study was dedicated to the data obtained in
UBS in the west zone of Manaus, namely UBS Santos Dumont and Ajuricaba, with
women between 18 and 60 years old, have had an intimate partner for at least 12 months and have performed the
Pap smear examination at the time of data collection. With the use of questionnaires and the
application of the Revised Conflict Tactics Scale 2 – CTS2 instrument, duly adapted to
use in Brazil. Result: Most women are between 40 and 59 years old, high school
complete, with their own income, did not consume alcohol and drugs and, according to their own perceptions
of the interviewees did not suffer from IPV throughout their lives. Conclusion: Associate the space of
realization of the preventive in the view of the health professional for signs of violence with the
questioning of the anamnesis, may result in the prevention of IPV and decrease in
revictimization
