Liderança em enfermagem: saberes entre discentes de um curso de bacharelado em enfermagem

Abstract

Leadership is a skill that is constantly required of nurses in the care and administrative spheres, and is essential in the training process of nursing students. Objective: To analyze the knowledge about leadership among graduate nursing students at a higher education institution in the north of the country. Method: This is a descriptive study with a qualitative-quantitative approach, carried out with final-year graduate nursing students at the Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, from 2023.1 to 2024.1. The population consisted of 96 students and after sample calculation with 90% confidence intervals and an assumed significance level of 5%, the final sample was 71 students. An adapted questionnaire-style instrument was used for data collection on the Google Forms platform and descriptive statistics were used to analyze the data. Results: The final-year students' level of knowledge about leadership and their respective competencies is extremely positive in relation to the current Latin-Brazilian scenario. Conclusion: The professionalization of students during their graduate studies on leadership issues results in nurses who are more qualified to take on leadership roles within health services
