Resumo
To analyze the prevalence of peptic diseases and the therapy adopted in users of
a hospital in the city of Manaus. Cross-sectional descriptive study method
quantitative carried out in an intentional sample through the analysis of 79 medical records
patients diagnosed with peptic diseases and completing a questionnaire with
closed questions year 2021. The variables analyzed were age, sex, diagnosis
doctor, comorbidities, lifestyle habits for smoking and alcohol consumption, and treatment performed
regarding the diagnosis of peptic diseases. The results are presented in the form
description and figures. Results 45.5% of participants are female and 54.4% are
male. The average age of patients is 57.9 years. Regarding the presence of diseases
peptic ulcers, 84.8% of patients have dyspepsia, 22.8% dyspepsia and ulcer, 5% reflux and
esophagitis, 5% dyspepsia, ulcer and esophagitis, 3.8% dyspepsia, ulcer, reflux and esophagitis. O
omeprazole was the drug used in the treatment of 84.8% of patients. Conclusion to

the risk factors and severity of peptic diseases, reveals the need for a
