Reabilitação oral com prótese total em paciente com abertura bucal reduzida: relato de caso

Abstract

Due to clinical experiences, new protocols were developed to reduce the time and number of consultations necessary for rehabilitation with complete denture. The simplified technique is a faster way to make a complete denture, where some stages of the process are modified, without compromising the final result. The proposed treatment should be individualized to attend the clinical condition presented by each patient. The present report aims to illustrate how the use of a simplified protocol and other alternative approaches allowed the rehabilitation of an individual with limited mouth opening due to paracoccidioidomycosis. At the end of the treatment it is concluded that knowing the available techniques and their adaptation to address individualities of the clinical case allowed the execution of the patients rehabilitation
