Abstract

This comic book about the Chestnut Festival in Tefé and the sustainable development of the region takes on a new look from the Multimodality Theory, as it involves various semioses of language that come into play simultaneously to produce meaning, such as written verbal text, static and moving images, colors, the Brazilian Sign Language (Libras), links and QRCodes. All these elements bring the material closer to its target audience: children and young people. As a result, this material both brings scientific information to the public in an accessible, compact and structured way and provides teachers and students with a paradidactic material, interactive material that can be used in an inter/transdisciplinary way in the teaching and learning construction process.
