Resumo

Considering the relationship between the available class times for the discipline Mathematics in Basic Education and the syllabus focused on the subject, is understandable that the four basic operations involving with integers represent a challenge for students. This essential component is importance for the good development of the student in the discipline, influencing directly in the learning not only of later content, but also in its daily. Thus, this research has a qualitative and quantitative character and deals with the analysis of collected materials, simulation questions and performance indices in Mathematics of Prova Brasil between the years 2015 and 2017 of 12 schools in Manaus, specifically looking at performance on the four integer operations, also exploring the panorama of large-scale assessments in Brazil. After the analysis, it is concluded that some schools have low performance in mathematics in a general, demonstrating a need for intervention of reinforcement activities so that that school performance is improved globally. For this purpose, a proposal of methodological guidelines aimed at the teacher, in order to facilitate the student understanding. Keywords: Education; Math; Number Integers; Brazil test.
