Resumo
This research has as its theme comprehensive the education and the role of the school in
times of pandemic COVID -19. The central focus is to analyze integral education and the role
of the school in times of pandemic. In particular, the objective was to conceptualize the main
aspects of integral education, identify the main characteristics of the teaching and learning
process in times of the covid-19 pandemic, and demonstrate the perception of teachers about
integral education in a public school. Used in a bibliographical research for seizure the
theoretical foundation on the subject. Considering the possibility of collecting data in
person, we opted for work of nature qualitative-quantitative. The Method used at research
was dialectical the objective of clarifying, exploring or presenting current events rooted in their
own context. The analysis of the collected data went through a triangulation between what was
said by the teachers, what is said by the theoretical references and about my view through the
exposed questioning. The data collection instruments were 12 teachers, where an interview
was applied with 13 structured questions with multiple choice sent by the Google Forms
platform for teachers, in addition to field notebook records used in Supervised Internship
activities before and during the pandemic. The subjects were 20 teachers, however only
twelve did the feedback. The analysis of the collected data went throung a triangulation
between what was said by the teachers, what is said by the theoretical references and
about my view throungh the exposed questioning. The locus was a Municipal School
located in the South Zone of the city of Manaus. The theoretical foundation is based on the
authors: Freire (1996), Da Rocha [el al] (2019), Moacir Gadotti (2009), Borges (2019), Candau
(2018) e Cavalieri (2018). As a result of the interpretations, it was identified that The crisis
pandemic has led to a rethinking of teaching practice, which requires re-creation based on
detailed analysis to find effective means of give students a human formation, not just to allow
the continuity of teaching activities. The entire school community is facing some challenges,
especially the teachers who play an important role in this process. The research intends to
contribute to the debate on the subject, in the Pedagogy courses and in the scope of Basic
Education Schools, aiming to expand the study on integral education to put what is intended.
Therefore, the construction of Integral Education policies, with a view to ensuring the rights of
all citizens to quality education, as stated in specific legislation, must be based on mobilizations
and debates involving the Public Power, the school community and civil society, with a view to
resulting in education projects that integrate the real needs and interests of the educational
community, aiming at broad training and social inclusion of individuals.
