Abstract

The main objective of this course completion work was to apply and test the simple harmonic model for the air temperature series of the trunks and water, obtained through measurements carried out inside a Amazonian floodplain forest, calculate heat fluxes by conduction in the forest via simple mathematical models and compare their results with the obtained by numerical calculation, which integrates all measurements. The specific objectives were: a) Calculate energy storage rates in the different forest components, from air temperature series, trunk and water, modeled via a simple harmonic model; b) Determine energy storage rates in the different forest components via numerical calculation, using measurements of air and trunk temperature collected in the RDSM; c) Analyze the relationships and compare the results achieved by the mathematical model proposed with direct measurements and results obtained via numerical method; d) Calculate the sensible and latent heat fluxes by the method of Bowen's Ratio; e) Analyze the power partition in the forest
