Caracterização florística e guia de identificação das palmeiras da trilha branca no museu da amazônia (MUSA)

Abstract

Vernacular names make it difficult to correctly identify species and largely cause confusion, especially when referring to palm trees, as several different species may be known by the same popular name. Due to the importance of the Amazon Museum (MUSA) and itssocial and environmental proposal for the population, a work was carried out to identify and characterize the palm trees on the main trail of the museum's White Trail known by visitors as the Tower Trail. To perform this work, two methodologies were used 1. For identification, individuals 59, 055 in above the ground were found on both sides throughout the trail.2. For phytosociological data, only the straight part of the trail was used. Based on the data obtained, a guide for identification of palm trees of the Tower Trail was elaborated with images and morphological characterizations based on the specialized literature of the individuals found. This study on palm trees enables a correct identification and updating of floristic data, which is relevant in the scientific and community context, relating education, tourism, leisure and knowledge.
