Resumo
Insects represent the most diverse group of animals in number of
species and are highly representative in the Amazon biome. All the
types of natural and modified ecosystems, both terrestrial and
aquatic, sustain communities of insects that present a variety of
of lifestyles, forms and functions. Considering all this diversity and the
interaction of these animals with people who frequent forest fragments
urban areas, such as parks, and can promote education
environmental analysis, it was proposed to analyze the entomofauna present in two areas
Amazon forest remnants in the city of Manaus, capital of the state
of the Amazon. Therefore, areas in the Municipal Park of the
Mindu and on the campus of the Federal University of Amazonas, UFAM.
Observations and records of insects were made using a camera
from August 2018 to February 2020 in the Municipal Park of
Mindu, and from August 2019 to February 2020 at UFAM. The extension of
study sites was traversed through its trails and built-up areas.
After the photographic records, identification was carried out according to
order, family and species, when possible, with the help of literature and
Prof. Zoological Collection Paulo Bührnheim – UFAM. In the Municipal Park of
Mindu insects from 35 families distributed in ten orders were found, already
at UFAM, insects from 38 families distributed in 11 orders were found.
Considering that 30 orders of insects are known in Brazil, the numbers
found are expressive in relation to this diversity. the order
Lepidoptera had the highest number of species found, with 20 spp.,
followed by Hemiptera with 8 spp., Coleoptera and Hymenoptera with 4 spp. each.
Knowing the composition of insects in these places provides the basis for studies
futures on the relationships they have with flora, fauna and people
in urban forest fragment environments. Area conservation
forest remnants amid the growing urbanization of Manaus serves
to maintain a more diverse entomofauna in this urban environment, where it is
it can acquire food, contribute to the pollination of vegetation and serve as
food for other animals in the food chain.
