Resumo
The Divine Comedy, by Dante Alighieri, and Quixote, by Miguel de Cervantes, constitute two of the most famous works of Western canonical literature, remaining as creations that provide us with an endless array of studies in the most different humanistic spheres. Under the prism of Comparative Literature and based on Remak, who advocates comparative literature as a dialogue between literatures not only supranational and international, but also socially, we aim to collaborate with another re-reading by analysing the female characters in both works, Beatrice and Dulcinea, highlighting the receptions coming from The Divine Comedy and the literary movement of the Dolce Stil Nuovo in the Quixote, a comparison based on the issue of the idealized muse and the servile love as what moves the hero in his journey of redemption and dignification.
