Resumo

This work aims to make a semantic-lexical survey, in order to the Amazonian regionalism, as a diatopic variation, is present in local songs in songs and bands of local singers. For this, were selected compositions of the bands Alaidenegão, Cabocrioulo, República Popular, Alderia. Having based on the relationship between language and culture, proposed by sociolinguistics (LABOV, 2008), it was found that songs linked to local culture show a vision of the people of Amazonas about different aspects, linked to history and customs, the indigenous origin indigenous origin, riverside life. The semantic-lexical survey done proves the interconnection between lexicon and culture, revealing that the lexical component of a language is the category that most directly and quickly transmits the identity memory of a society. society.
