Resumo
This work aimed to analyze a proposal for teaching Spherical Geometry
Spherical Geometry in high school through the Geogebra software, in a class of 2nd
year of high school, a public school in the city of Manaus-AM. To
therefore, among other objectives, it was sought to present a synthesis of the history of
Geometry, especially the problem of the fifth postulate of Euclid, and
also the origin of non-Euclidean geometries through the most significant
significant attempts to demonstrate the fifth postulate. It was also
also sought to introduce the essential concepts of Spherical Geometry, demonstrating
some of its main results. Moreover, it was developed and applied a set of activities
activities based on van Hiele's model of development of geometric
development model of geometric thinking of van Hiele, using the software Geogebra, in order to
to introduce the essential concepts of Spherical Geometry. As a result,
it was found that the students obtained a significant learning of
Spherical Geometry through activities developed through the use of
Geogebra software, based on the van Hiele model, showing that
this is a good strategy to introduce this content in basic education.
