Resumo
Education of the Countryside is resistance against the education in rural
developed by the imposed educational system. In this context, many schools are
only rural, they are located in the Rural Zone of the cities, but the education
system is the same as in the Urban Zone. Therefore, research into the reality of
Countryside schools and understanding the teaching practices, specifically in the
Lago do Limão community, in a school in the municipality of Iranduba – AM. The
main goal is to understand how teachers perceive the teaching of Geography in
Education of the Countryside. In this sense, to carry out the qualitative study,
bibliographical and documentary research was carries out, as well as an interview
to understand the teaching activity of the Basic Education Geography teacher in
a riverside school. Considering that, based on reality, Geography can develop in
peasants the ability to critically interpret and transform reality, it is important to
stablishing a relation between the Geography and the Education of the
Countryside. Therefore, it is crucial that the geography teacher training
encourages studies that, adopting this theoretical framework, contribute to the
effective universalization of access to education for peasants.
