Resumo
As it is a science that explains the innumerable transformations occurring in nature, chemistry is of difficult understanding to high school students, since teachers employ teaching practices that escape the reality in which the individuals are inserted. Music as a didactic tool can contribute to these needs, providing critical, constructive and reflective learning. Our overall aim was to analyze YouTube videos that use music as a didactic- pedagogical resource in electrochemistry teaching. It is a qualitative, exploratory and documental research, in which the chosen songs were analyzed and categorized. The analyzed videos present strong behaviorist tendencies, aiming at memorization. Therefore, we propose a song about the concept of electrochemistry based on everyday phenomena. Our appointments can contribute to a more focused discussion about improving and optimizing the music usage as an efficient sicence teaching tool.
