A leitura de textos de divulgação científica e a produção de histórias em quadrinhos

Abstract

One of the functions of the media is to communicate science, the language in which it reports constitutes a discursive genre we call Scientific Dissemination. Comic books are also considered a specific genre of discourse and can be used as a didactic resource for science classes. Initially, we worked with the critical reading of two texts of Scientific Dissemination, one on the theme “P ” j “G ”, S Magazine. After reading in the classroom, students created their own comic books on these subjects. One of the objectives of this research was to investigate if the students used their creativity, creating their own images in the stories produced, or if there was the reproduction of the images present in the texts provided to them. The initial data led us to consider that the images of the text about pesticides are more impartial, while the text about gluten presents images of a more appealing and sensational character. Thus, it is possible to conclude that the visual language, present in the texts of scientific dissemination, can influence the formation of perceptions and representations about science.
