Divulgação e popularização da ciência relato de experiência do projeto ciência às 7 e meia

Abstract

In this article we present a report from the "Science at half past seven" Project. The activity involves a series of conferences of researchers on topics with a wide range of interest. The event is facilitated by the Museum of Amazonia and employs the promotion and popularization activities of scientific knowledge, in order to awaken the curiosity and interest of the non specialized public, the “electric fishes” topic was analyzed in this case. Once in a month, a public that amounts to almost 150 people (children, youth and adults) meet in the Directional Theatre with a common objective: The understanding of topics and/or scientific results. We believe that activities such as these contribute to citizen education, and help in the comprehension of the science produced in Amazonia and Brazil as well as its manifestations in the society.
