Resumo
Advancement in scientific education research increases benefits for the teaching and learning processes. Therefore, it is important to plan, design and apply new innovative strategies - PPE to incorporate to the teaching of chemistry. ARG is a dynamic and long-term game that the real world is its main platform. The scope of this article is to discuss the advantages of the Alternate Reality Game - ARG for multidisciplinary learning focusing on active learning methodologies such as STEAM and Project Based Learning - PBL. For this purpose, a group of 28 students from a degree in Chemistry for Teaching participated in a pedagogical design involving ARG, PBL, and STEAM. Students created ARG game designs based in historical periods of chemistry and its relation with STEAM. The results show the potential of ARC to promote active learning in higher education and to contribute with digital, technological and scientific literacy, among other essential benefits.
