Resumo
The present work had as general objective to know the teachers' conceptions about
the environmental services provided by the Tupé Sustainable Development Reserve –
Tupé RDS, through the relationship with the agroforestry backyards. Two questions
guided the development of this study: How do teachers conceive of agroforestry yards
for pedagogical practices? And what are the conceptions attributed by teachers
regarding the environmental services provided by agroforestry yards? This dissertation
is organized into five sections. In the first one, we bring the theoretical framework on
the themes that support this research: Environmental Conception, Environment
Conception, Environmental Education and Environmental Services and agroforestry
yards. The second refers to the Locus of Research, which were the Municipal Schools:
Cannã II and Paulo do Freire. In the third, we describe the research methods and
techniques, where we bring elements of qualitative research, and we use two
techniques to obtain the data, the semi-structured interview and document analysis. In
the fourth section, we present the general and natural environment characterization of
the Tupé RDS. In the fifth and last section, we present the analysis of the results
obtained, where teachers recognized the benefits that agroforestry backyards provide
to residents of the area, but they often do not know how to use this natural environment
in their pedagogical practices. To overcome this deficiency present in the day-to-day
of teachers, the importance of continuing education in Environmental Education for
sustainability was highlighted, providing insight into knowledge about the natural
environment of the Reserve, such as the backyards and their benefits.
