Resumo
Discuss what can make someone be a scientist or an artist seems irrelevant front of
the incredible opportunity to experience that the two forms of knowledge can bring to
humans. The objective was to investigate which contributions of art to motivation and
success in science learning inside the classroom. The theoretical foundation was
anchored by Damasio (2011), Feyrabend (2010), Nicolelis (2011), Maturana (2010)
among others. The research was conducted at the Federal Institute of Education,
Science and Technology Amazonas (IFAM) and the subjects form 27 students of the
sciences: chemistry (16 students), Biology (11 students) who had contact with the
discipline science and art offered (for everyone) as elective within the curriculum. The
investigative trajectory was anchored in the qualitative approach to determine
perceptions about the importance of discipline and art to science learning and teaching
practices of the subjects. The results indicate the need for all school use in the formal
art as support and facilitate learning in science. We conclude that the use of artistic
images can generate a memorization of scientific contents studied, as well as
providing aesthetic and creative growth in the production of science lessons. In a
society based on visual values is strategic and necessary the use of images of
aesthetic quality and relevance as a motivator for memorization, learning and success
in science classes
