História e memória : experiências e relações de trabalho dos operários da Fabriljuta (1960 – 1980) em Parintins – Amazonas

Abstract

This article aims to address the labor relations of male and female workers in the production line of Fabriljuta in Parintins, Amazonas, in the 1960s to 1980s, through the methodology of oral history. Thus, we sought to analyze the role of these workers in the jute period in the city of Parintins, which allowed us to collect evidence of their trajectories and challenges through interviews with these historical subjects. By analyzing these reports, we sought to highlight the construction of the memory of these former workers about working conditions, division of labor and gender inequalities within the factory environment. Fabriljuta operated between the 1960s and 1980s, implemented by large development projects for the Amazon region, and made Parintins, a medium-sized city, the main urban center of the Lower Amazon region, attracting migrants from different regions, whether from rural areas or from other cities in the Amazon, who would become workers at the Companhia Fabril de Juta de Parintins (Fabriljuta).
