Resumo
Currently the process of collecting finished materials in production is done by the team
responsible for the Inbound area in DC. It is also done manually by the employee within the
labor rules and laws. However, it is an operation that requires a lot on the part of the employee
in view of the large flow of output of finished materials. Today we have an average of 120
pallets/day that are collected in the Manufacture.
This process requires time, availability of a collaborator to be full-time in this function, also
requires a good physical condition on the part of the employee because of the distance traveled
between the DC and manufacturing, besides not meeting at the exact moment, sometimes, the
demand of the manufacture, generating significant impacts on the dc operation, because 90%
of the time we have to redirect more employees to meet the demand, and with that we have
delays in other stages of dc operation.
Therefore, in order to reduce the efforts made by the employee, the gaps within the DC
operation (rework and extra costs), the failure to serve the Manufacturing, as well as taking
advantage of the labor in a more critical operation, we chose to automate the collection process
through the application of an LGV.
